How to stop a program to load MP3

Windows can assign only a program with a particular file type.

For example, you can install a new multimedia player that overrides your existing. If that happened when you tried to open a music file, the new player send instead of the former.    Press "Windows"- and "E" set to open Windows Explorer.

See the files and folders on your hard disk.

Select a file that you want to open Microsoft Word.

For example, if Word now open is when double-clicking "xyz.txt", find the file, and click it. A menu opens.

Select "Open with" and select "Choose default."

"Open with" window will open and display a list of programs.

Place a check mark next to "use the selected program to open this file type."

Double-click the program the you the file to use as the default program to open.

If you want to use a program on the list, click "Browse" and choose a program from your hard drive.

Click "OK".

Windows will now quit Microsoft Word open when you double-click the file. The new program you have chosen will open it instead of it.
