Merge as a document in WordPerfect 8

If you have multiple copies of the same letter, a quick way to perform the task is labels or envelopes in the mail merge.

WordPerfect 8, developed by Corel, documents move information form fields into another document merge. Difficulty: easy

Instructions

    Create a form

    Open Word Perfect 8, by clicking on the icon on your desktop or from the start menu.

    Click "Tools" from the toolbar at the top of the window, and select "merge".

  • Select "Form" in the dialog box "connect". Select "Create A new document" and type "none" the name of the assigned when you created the data file, choose file that "A form file to create a data file in the box". Rename the file later. Click on "OK" to continue.

    Create your main document in the new window.

  • Save and name the document when it is finished.

    Create a data file

    Click the button "go data" in the mail merge toolbar.

  • Select "Create" to create a new data file. Name of the file with the extension. dat.

    Click on "OK" to continue.

  • Creating the data file dialog box. This enables generic domain names in the data file to create. Give the names of the fields you want, such as name, address, city, in the field "Field" and click "Add" every time. Click "OK", if you done. Fast data input box appears. Type the corresponding data record. Click "new folder" Schaltfläche for each record and repeat until the data file is finished.

    Click "Close" and "Save".

  • Merge documents.

    Click the "Go to Form" button on the mail merge toolbar.

  • Place the cursor in the document, where want the placed field.

    Click "add field" button and select the field suitable for this position.

    Add spaces and punctuation where it is required between the first and last name. Repeat this process until all the merge fields in the correct fields are inserted.

    Click "Merge" in the toolbar button.

  • Click again on "Merge" in the area. Make sure that the shape and the correct data file are listed, and click "OK" merge documents.
