Open Word 2007 in Office 2003

If you already tried to edit an Office Word 2007 file in Office Word 2003, you have probably experienced some problems.

This is because Word 2007 files are not compatible with earlier versions because they use different file formats. But let this slow down your efforts. Microsoft has the Office Compatibility Pack for Office 2007 files in Office 2003 and earlier versions convert created. Difficulty: easy

Instructions

Things you need: Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack

    Close all Office 2003 programs.

    Visit the Microsoft Download location (see resources) and download the Compatibility Pack Setup Wizard.

    Perform the installation at the end of the download file.

    Guided wizard steps to complete the installation.

  • Make sure that you install the file in the directory of Office 2003 that should happen automatically.

    Start your computer if prompted to do so.

    Open Word 2003.

  • 7

    From the menu "File" "Open".

  • 8

    Double-click on a Word 2007 document from the pop-up list.

  • The file is opened once the compatibility pack automatically converted.
